Re: 5k 2010

Count me in as a marshall on the first one....have very helpfully been given a late finish at work that day, however sad Probably won't be able to get there until 7.45 at the earliest, so I might be better off marshalling somewhere I can get to fairly quickly!

Re: 5k 2010

Thanks for all the offers. I've updated who's marshalling where above. Have I missed anyone out? Could do with another on the turn onto the prom.

Re: 5k 2010

If all those at the start and between the start and the stone pier could come to the finish to help after the last runner has gone past their point that would also be a great help - thanks

Graeme I think you have missed Sam and John G

Re: 5k 2010

Just ran the course, quite a breeze off the sea, strange thing is it is a head wind going towards the turnaround and a stronger one running back towards the finish???

Re: 5k 2010

Thanks Tim I thought the start worked well last night. The 2 or 3 who missed their start was, in my opinion, their fault rather than ours. With the big groups of up to 13/15 starting together some seemed uncertain when they were due to start. Not sure how to resolve that.
Only 4 more races to go smile

I can't wait.

To resolve the uncertainty I'll probably just need to be more bossy.

Re: 5k 2010

Can I just say a huge "thank you" to everyone that helped out tonight. We had another huge entry (171) and 166 finishers to take care of before, during and after the race; the club has demonstrated again that it punches far above its weight and of course this is only possible when people give so much of themselves. Well done to all those that raced - the weather conditions were not as benign this time around but that has not stopped many from producing good performances (Graeme has already posted the results). I look forward to hearing the Chairman's views on Tuesday!

3 down, 2 to go...
